Welcome to the newly redesigned EvanMix.com! I’ve been tinkering with the site for months, trying out different themes and setups, but I’ve finally arrived at something I really like. Now it’s time to give credit where credit is due (there’s plenty to go around).

The New Theme: Neoclassical

Chris Pearson makes a hell of a theme. I’ve used other stuff of his before, but this one is really outstanding. The theme is called Neoclassical, and it really give the site a professional, accessible look. Better yet, Chris takes the time to tell you how to tweak the theme to suit your own needs. The whole thing is a fine piece of work. My hat is off to Chris.

One of the coolest things about Neoclassical is its random rotating header graphics. You can upload images of your own choice, and the theme will pick one randomly each time it loads a page. Go ahead - hit “Refresh” to try it out!

When I need a great image, my destination of choice is Stock.Xchng. This site is a vast repository of freely available stock photography, where users can upload their own images for the use of others. Every banner image on this site is taken from Stock.Xchng.

• OwnMoment: OwnMoment has a series of very cool plasma ball shots, including “plasma ball in action”. Thanks, OwnMoment!
• Zulfikar: “Black Sun” is really a shot of a lampshade, but it’s still really impressive. Thanks, Zulfikar!
• Crackhouse: Crackhouse has some great shots, but “Green white rusty” is my favorite. Thanks, crackhouse!
