I Planted a Garden

Today was Memorial Day. I took advantage of the holiday by visiting Lowe’s to pick up a couple of planters, some soil, and a few plants. I’m starting a garden.

Here’s what I got:

• Basil
• Italian parsley
• Jalapeno peppers
• Mint
• Rosemary
• And for good measure: Roma tomatoes

I’ve never done any gardening, but I’m getting very tired of buying herbs at the grocery store: they’re expensive, sold in unusable quantities, and generally in poor condition. I still don’t have my favorite herb - cilantro (AKA coriander) - but that’s next on the list.

So, how long will they last?
