I’m in Portland, Oregon, at my mom’s place for Christmas. My flight landed on Friday evening just as it really started snowing in earnest. Since then, we’ve had probably 18 inches and it’s still coming down. Things were mostly shut down over the weekend, with unreliable public transportation and iced-over roads. Though it’s been a little inconvenient and a little dangerous, it also makes for some good comedy:
