As an avid poker player, I was fascinated to discover this comic describing a poker-playing AI developed by the University of Alberta’s Computer Poker Research Group. The bot has multiple playing personalities that it can match to different scenarios. Because it knows its own playing styles perfectly, it can predict which styles – which plays – are most likely to be effective in each case.

Productivity: Leopard and Blacktree

Almost two years ago, my Dell laptop died a few days before final exams. So, I bit the bullet and upgraded to a Macbook Pro. The problem: all this time, I’ve been wasting its potential, and my time.

Over the weekend, I totally changed the way I use my computer, and I couldn’t be happier.
